Brixham Montessori Friends School is a small independent private school in York, ME serving elementary, preschool and toddler aged children. Established in 2000, BMFS has grown steadily over the past nine years, expanding its programs and staff each year with its most recent expansion occurring in the fall of 2006. At its new site on 18 Brickyard Court, BMFS serves over sixty families with more than eighty students enrolled for current school year.

Brixham Montessori Friends School began as a preschool in Portsmouth, NH in 1997. Within three short years, the preschool outgrew its space and relocated to York, ME where the school increased the number of students, added an elementary program and established itself as a highly reputable Montessori school serving Seacoast Maine and New Hampshire.
