The summer session at Brixham varies from year-to-year and program to program depending on the availability of teachers. Typically the session begins the first week of July and ends the second week of August and is half day on Monday-Thursday for the primary program (children ages 3-6 years). Themes for the primary summer session often reflect the summer season to include gardening, nature education, art, and animal care. The summer primary program is located on the playground in the outdoor classroom which is also home to the school’s small flock of chickens. The school garden is easily accessible through the playground, as is the school’s vernal pool area. Summer programming for elementary and toddler students is less consistent with dates and options limited to the availability of teachers for these programs.

Interested parents should inquire in early January about options for the summer with priority given to currently enrolled students who sign up for the full summer session. Remaining spaces are filled on a first come, first served basis and typically reserved for students who attend or will be attending Brixham in the fall. Limited scholarships are available for the summer.
