Don't you love the smell of something baking in your kitchen? Teacher Meg will come to your house and bake with your child(ren), bringing all the ingredients, utensils, pans, etc. You provide the kitchen and 1-2 children and she’ll do the rest! Choices abound between brownies, muffins, cookies or cornbread. Not a fan of flour and sugar? You can make applesauce instead! Meg is available in November and again starting in 2025 for this fun, hands on experience.

Adirondack Chairs with Custom Pillows

All Brixham students from Toddler to Lower Elementary classes have helped paint chairs and knit pillows to accompany them. Chairs were painted by the children in a monochromatic style, and pillows were knit by the Lower El class. One chair per class!

HISTORY IN A BOX

Old York Museum Director Joel Lefever and will share discoveries found around classmate Peter Lefever’s very old house on York Street in York.  Two hundred years ago, the family who lived in the house threw trash in the back yard and lost things under the attic floorboards, that were discovered recently.  The classroom visit will include objects to examine, a “what’s it“ game, and a piece to take home.
