Our Vision

Welcome to Brixham Montessori Friends School
Brixham Montessori Friends School is an accredited Montessori school for children ages 2–11, where learning is joyful, purposeful, and deeply respectful of each child’s development.
At Brixham, children are nurtured academically, socially, emotionally, and physically through an enriched Montessori educational program grounded in curiosity, independence, and community. Our experienced teachers thoughtfully prepare the learning environment to spark wonder, invite exploration, and support each child’s natural desire to learn.
Montessori classrooms are academically rich and culturally responsive, offering hundreds of carefully sequenced lessons across language, mathematics, science, cultural studies, and the arts. Children work at their own pace, individually and in small groups, building confidence, concentration, and a strong sense of responsibility.
A cornerstone of Montessori education- and of our school- is freedom within limits: children are trusted with meaningful choices while learning accountability, self-discipline, and respect for others. This balance fosters independence, intrinsic motivation, and a lifelong love of learning.
We invite you to explore how a Brixham Montessori Friends School education supports the whole child- and to discover the joy of learning through this innovative, research-based approach.
