before and after school care

This optional extension of the school day is available to primary and elementary students by contract for the full year or on a drop-in basis. The hours for before and after school care are 7:30am-8:30am and 3:00pm-5:00pm. Care can be contracted on the hour or half hour, or as needed for drop-in care, and is usually provided in the school library or on the school playground. Games, construction play with Legos or trains, as well as reading, drawing, and arts and crafts projects are some of the activities children enjoy in before and after school care. Classroom ground rules “respect for others and the environment” remain consistent during the before and after school care.
