Elisa Hegg, PhD, is an Applied Behavior Analyst with experience over 20 years of experience working with children and families diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), as well as other developmental disabilities. Currently Elisa is the Practicum Director for the online masters program in Behavior Analysis at Simmons University in Boston. Elisa's daughter Ingrid is an enthusiastic member of the Toddler classroom, and she is also an alumni parent to two children who are now in 2nd grade in York Public School, and who developed their curiosity and love of learning in the 3-6 Programs.
Brianna Martin, M.Ed, taught at Brixham for nine years before transitioning into public school Special Education. She is the parent of current Brixham students Reed and Alden, both of whom will be in the 3-6 program in 2019-2020 school year. As this will be Alden’s extended day year, Brianna is excited to experience as a parent the fulfilling culmination of the 3-year classroom cycle, which she witnessed time and again as a 3-6 teacher.
Deanna Martin is an alumni parent of BMFS whose two children, Peter and Evie, spent many joyful years in both the Toddler and 3-6 programs, and she has also spent time in our classrooms as a substitute teacher. Deanna's professional background includes over a decade of teaching experience from pre-k through high school. She is the cofounder of PATCHWORK, a local partnership seeking to support parents by offering specific guidance and practical solutions for parents and families. Deanna’s work with parents grew out of the many years she has spent as an advocate for children and young adults as a mentor, youth leader, coach, teacher, and caretaker. This is Deanna's first year serving on the Board of Directors. She lives in York with her husband, Peter, their two children.
